Why a 1470% Label Number Is Not a Weight Result
Trimoryn lists riboflavin, or vitamin B2, at 25 mg. The Daily Value is 1.7 mg, so 25 mg is about 1470% of it. A large percentage only shows the capsule holds far more than the daily need. It does not show a benefit, and the body clears what it cannot use, which is why urine can turn bright yellow.

Where does the 1470% come from?
It is 25 mg divided by the 1.7 mg Daily Value for adults, then written as a percent.
The math: 25 divided by 1.7 is about 14.7, and 14.7 times 100 is about 1470%. The Daily Value is a label yardstick for what most adults need in a day. It is not a goal to beat. A percent that large tells you the dose is high next to the need, and nothing else.

Is more riboflavin better?
No. Past what the body needs, extra B2 does not add benefit.
Riboflavin is a water-soluble vitamin. The body uses what it needs and clears most of the rest in the urine. Needs are met by ordinary foods such as milk, eggs and fortified cereals, so most healthy adults who eat a mixed diet are not short of it. The NIH says supplements do not need FDA approval before sale, and that natural or vitamin wording does not mean safe or effective 1.
