What to Do and Who to Tell After a Supplement Reaction
Get care first. If symptoms are severe, such as trouble breathing, chest pain or fainting, call 911. Stop the product and call your doctor or pharmacist. Then report the problem to FDA MedWatch, the agency's program for problems with medical products, reachable at 1-888-463-6332. Keep the bottle, the lot number and your notes. A report helps the FDA spot patterns.

First01
What should you do first?
Your health comes before any report. Stop the product and get care if you feel unwell.
Stop taking it
Set the bottle aside. Do not throw it out.
Get help
For trouble breathing, chest pain, fainting, a swollen face or throat, call 911.
Call your clinician
For milder signs, such as a rash, stomach upset or dizziness, call your doctor or pharmacist the same day.
Keep taking prescribed medicine
Do not stop it unless a clinician tells you to.
MedWatch02
What is MedWatch?
MedWatch is the FDA's program for reporting problems with medical products and for sharing safety information.
You can report through the "Report a Problem" link on the FDA site, or call 1-888-INFO-FDA (1-888-463-6332) 1. Anyone can report: patients, family members and clinicians. You do not need proof that the product caused the problem. A report is a signal, not a verdict.
The FDA does not approve dietary supplements before sale, so reports after sale matter. That is part of how problems come to light 2.

What can you do to lower the chance of a problem?
Ask before you start, begin with one new product at a time and read the label.
NCCIH advises telling all your health care providers about every supplement you use, since some interact with medicines 3. Trimoryn's label cautions that it is not for under 18, pregnant or nursing, and to consult a physician if you take medication. No source tested the formula. FAQ06
Trimoryn questions people ask
Do I need proof to file a MedWatch report?
No. Report what happened and when. A clinician's note helps but is not required.
Can I report on behalf of a family member?
Yes. Family members and caregivers can file, with the person's details as known.
Is a MedWatch report the same as a refund request?
No. MedWatch records safety problems. Refunds go through the seller's order desk.
Should I keep the supplement I reacted to?
Yes. Keep the bottle and any leftover capsules, with the lot number, in case a clinician or the FDA asks.
