A 2020 review found significant drops in body weight, BMI, waist size and a marker of inflammation with berberine. It found no clear effect on two liver enzymes 1.
The trials were mostly in people with metabolic disorders, and the berberine intake there was not 15 mg a day. That is the main gap for a shopper. Memorial Sloan Kettering rates the evidence as limited, with studies of limited quality 2. Neither source tested Trimoryn.
